Helio Castroneves is one of
the rising stars in racing today. During his rookie season in 1998 he
was barely beat out for the honor of rookie of the year.Helio began his
motorsports career in 1987. Since then Helio has risen rapidly in racing
circles, winning and placing at many international racing events. In
2000 he was honored with the Greg Moore Legacy Award. This award goes to
the driver who best exemplifies, Greg Moor's legacy of both outstanding
talent on the track plus a dynamic personality with fans, media and
people in the racing community. The 2001 season will be Helio's fourth
year in the CART Series and his second with Penske Racing. He has
already won the 2001 Long Beach Grand Prix and the 2001 Indianapolis
